Manufacturing process:

Expanded metal is plate or sheet cut and stretched into a mesh. Also known as extruded or stretched metal.

The pattern of the mesh can either be staggered or in a straight pattern with all rows and columns aligned. Extruded / expanded mesh has varied opening rate designed to meet the applications. Opening size and pattern of the expanded metal determines the passage of air, liquid or light.

Different sheet thickness and materials of metal can be chosen. L.W.D (Long Way Diamond) and S.W.D. (Short Way Diamond) are commonly used to indicate the desired length and width of the diamond shaped mesh holes.

The hexagonal mesh gives the metal sheet extra strength while allowing the passage of air, light, heat, sound and liquid. Hexagonal openings are mostly used for heavy expanded sheet. This product is suitable for grating, vent panels, fencing uses.

Powder Coated Expanded Metal Cladding Sheet
Expanded metal can be made with various surface finishes, like powder coating, galvanizing and anodizing ( for aluminum only).

Base metals for powder coated expanded metal include Aluminum sheet, low carbon metal sheet, stainless steel sheet.

Surface treatments:

1) For aluminum material:
- Without treatment, plain aluminum
- Anodized finish (Colours can be silver, blue, green, yellow, pink, red, black, other colors)
- Powder coated
- PVDF (surface will be much more smooth, level off and glossy, it also has a much longer life span than common treatment)

2) For steel material:
